Is EPOS-CL only for hotels?
No. Hotels use the full system, but the same till runs restaurants, bars, supermarkets, minimarts and kiosks. You only switch on the modules you need.
Is it cloud-based or installed on site?
Your choice. EPOS-CL runs on-premise on a server at your business, in the cloud hosted by us, or as a hybrid of both, with the same features either way.
Does it work with barcode scanners?
Yes. Plug in a scanner and scanned items go straight onto the bill, with stock updated as you sell.
Can I import my existing products?
Yes. Stock items can be bulk-imported from an Excel file, so you don’t have to type in your catalogue.
Does it handle accounting, or just sales?
Both. Every sale, purchase and expense posts to a double-entry ledger built on IFRS, with trial balance, income statement, tax and VAT reports.
Can I control what each staff member sees?
Yes. Built-in roles include Manager, Supervisor, Cashier, Chef, Head Chef, Store Keeper, Receptionist and Accountant, and every action is logged.
Which payment methods are supported?
You define your own payment methods (cash, card, mobile money and so on), and a single bill can be split across several of them.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. EPOS-CL can run automated database backups and email them to you.
